- Structure
- Drum: The core component of the drum pulper. It is usually a large cylindrical structure made of high-strength metal materials. The interior of the drum is equipped with lifting plates and other components to lift and drop the waste paper, helping to break it up.
- Feeding Hopper: Located at one end of the pulper, used to put waste paper and other raw materials into the drum. It can control the feeding speed and quantity to ensure the stable operation of the pulper.
- Drive Device: Usually consists of a motor, reducer, and transmission shaft. It provides power for the rotation of the drum, enabling the drum to rotate at a set speed and mode.
- Supporting Wheel Device: Supports the weight of the drum and ensures the stability of the drum during operation. It is usually composed of several supporting wheels and related bearings.
- Screen Plate: Installed in the screening area of the drum. It is equipped with many small holes of a certain size. The screen plate is used to separate fibers and impurities, allowing fibers that meet the requirements to pass through the holes and enter the pulp pool.
- Working Principle
- High Consistency Pulping: The drum pulper typically operates under high consistency conditions, with the concentration of waste paper raw materials generally ranging from 14% to 22%.
- Shearing Force: The lifting plates inside the drum repeatedly lift and drop the waste paper, generating a gentle shearing force that breaks down the waste paper into fibers.
- Frictional Motion: The waste paper in the drum rubs against each other and the inner wall of the drum, which helps to separate the fibers and remove impurities.
- Dilution Water: Dilution water is added in the screening area to dilute the pulp to an appropriate concentration, facilitating the passage of fibers through the screen holes. Meanwhile, it can clean the screen holes and impurities.
